How to join

  1. Make sure you are on Build 42.20 stable. If Steam has you on legacy41, right-click Project Zomboid → Properties → Betas and set the beta to None.
  2. Main menu → Join → Add Server.
  3. Put zomboid.auren-rp.xyz in the IP field and 16261 in the Port field. Do not type the port into the IP field — the game sends that field verbatim.
  4. Enter the password, then Save and Join.
The server list may show this as unreachable even when it is running — Project Zomboid's favourites check does not handle domain names well. Click Join anyway; it connects. If you would rather avoid it entirely, use 15.235.36.255 instead of the domain. Both reach the same server.

First connection

There are 82 mods. Your first join downloads all of them and will take several minutes with no progress bar for long stretches. Let it finish — it only happens once. If you get kicked to the menu with a mod error, restart the game fully and rejoin.
